Alumni Weekend
Posted: December 2, 2008
This year marks a historic time for the Zeta Sigma Chapter here at Florida Institute of Technology. Zeta Sigma was founded in 1968 exactly 100 years after the founding of Pi Kappa Alpha at the University of Virginia. This year, 2008, marks 40 years of Pi Kappa Alpha at Florida Institute of Technology. To remember our accomplishments throughout the years, our 40th Anniversary celebration took place this fall. Almost an entire week was dedicated to memories young and old. Hundreds of brothers from all around the country came to meet friends that they remembered and rekindle friendships with some they had not. The original members of Alpha Kappa Pi were able to meet the present day brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha and share stories of the times they spent with our fraternity. The brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha today are looking forward to another great 40 years at FIT and beyond.

Delta Alpha House Project
Posted: November 21, 2008
The pledge class project of Delta Alpha was recently completed. The fence along the north lot had become extremely worn and broken down over the years. The brothers from Delta Alpha successfully removed the old fence and put up a new one over a 2 day period. This involved the removal of the old posts and panels, drilling new post holes, setting the new posts, and finally attaching the new fence panels. Our neighbor was also very pleased to see this project completed. During the tear down both properties were weeded and cleaned up along the fence line. A big thank you to the House Corporation, as this project would not have been possible without their assistance.

Congratulations Delta Alpha Pledge Class!

The Zeta Sigma Chapter started off strong this year on a hunt to recruit the most best men. In total 24 pledges were confirmed showing once again who the leaders in recruitment are. Several Rush events, including the semester's theme party, Pike-a-delic saw at least 300 in attendance and around 40 potentials present. As usual the most successful of the Rush events was the Infamous Foam Party, which included the re-engineering of the foam machines and the addition of a foam gun, several hundred bottles of soap, and a 100ft slip-n-slide. The quantity and quality of the individuals recently recruited show that the Zeta Sigma Chapter is dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character. Congratulations to the Delta Alpha Pledge Class.
