Brother Cobb - Pike of the Week - 4/6/08

Brother Cobb was one of the first people at the house for the start of International Work day and proceeded to put in a full day swinging a sledge hammer. He was an integral part of the shed removal and lent a hand on numerous other projects. Thank you for showing so much alumni support.

Brother Peckarchick - Pike of the Month - March 2008

The month of march is very important time for the Zeta Sigma chapter because it includes two of the biggest events of the year; Relay for Life and Greek Week. As athletics chairmen, it is Brother Peckarchick's duty to organize the teams and rosters and keep track of event schedules as well as attend all Greek Week committee meetings. This year he did his job exceptionally well, going above and beyond making sure all brothers knew about all events so they could go lend support which helped us to secure victory. In an even more impressive display of dedication, he badly broke his finger in the first weekends football tournament and continued to play in all of his events for the rest of the week. For all this he is being hailed as Pike of the Month for the month of March. Thank you Ronnie.

Brother Aronchick - Pike of the Week - 3/30/08

This weekend Florida Tech hosted a Relay for Life event for the American Cancer Society. As part of Pi Kappa Alpha's involvement in this, Brother Aronchick promised to ride his bike one mile for every 25 cents donated to our Relay team. By the end of the night we had collected quite a bit of money and Eric had some riding to do. He rode all night long and in total biked 80 miles for the cause. For his heart and dedication he is being honored as Pike of the Week. Congratulations Brother Aronchick and thank you.

Pi Kappa Alpha International Work Day

On Saturday April 5th the Zeta Sigma Chapter participated in International Work Day. This event is a fraternity wide day to do house improvements and general upkeep. Many actives as well as members of the house corporation and other local alumni stopped by to lend a hand. This year much was done on the banks of the Indian River at the chapter house. The main project was the removal of the old shed in preparation for the new one. The shed was emptied, dismantled and carted off to be recycled, a special thanks goes out to alumni Brother Cobb for his work on the shed. The North stair case was also power washed so that it can be stained to match the deck. In the front yard, the stones with the PiKA letters were cleaned and repainted and the wooden railing around the parking lot was painted. All in all much work was done and a good time was had by all as everyone gathered around the grill when the work was done for hamburgers and hotdogs. Thank you to all who participated and made this work day successful.

Brother Vann - Pike of the Week - 3/23/08

In another Brothers time of need, Dave stepped up to help without question or second thought. He sacrificed his time to aid another through a tough circumstance and for that he is being awarded Pike of the Week.
