Downstairs Bathroom Renovation
Posted: March 10, 2009
The downstairs bathroom renovation is now complete. Thanks to all of the alumni donations House Corp was able to have the entire bathroom gutted, the mold issues handled, all of the fixtures replaced, and the bathroom tiled from floor to ceiling for easy maintenance. A special thank you goes out to Kevin Menard, the newest member of house corp, who headed up this project.

Delta Alpha House Project
Posted: November 21, 2008
The pledge class project of Delta Alpha was recently completed. The fence along the north lot had become extremely worn and broken down over the years. The brothers from Delta Alpha successfully removed the old fence and put up a new one over a 2 day period. This involved the removal of the old posts and panels, drilling new post holes, setting the new posts, and finally attaching the new fence panels. Our neighbor was also very pleased to see this project completed. During the tear down both properties were weeded and cleaned up along the fence line. A big thank you to the House Corporation, as this project would not have been possible without their assistance.

International Work Day 2006
Posted: November 21, 2008
On Saturday, February 11th 2006 the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha held its International Work Day. The events were coordinated by Clay Danielson, the Chapter's House Manager, who organized projects around the house to be completed in a team based manner to maximize brotherhood participation. The various projects that were accomplished during the day showed true dedication to the cleanliness and appeal of the Chapter's House. These projects incorporated outdoor and indoor efforts by the brotherhood. All interior walls of the house were washed and then spruced up with a coat of paint. In the trophy room, two brand new ceiling fans were installed for better circulation. As for the exterior portion of the house, a surround sound speaker system was installed on the porch and deck area to enhance the social atmosphere of the property during social events. The deck, as well as the exterior walls, was also refurnished by being pressured washed. In response to the recent increase in hurricanes over the past years, plywood shutters were fabricated and fitted for all windows surrounding the house so they could be quickly installed in the event of a storm. To further enhance the appearance of the house, the front and back yards were landscaped with mulch, and a relaxing hammock retreat was added to the beach front. The contribution and willpower from all the brothers, as well as local alumni, was remarkable and made International Work Day for 2006 a huge success. The Zeta Sigma Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha would like to thank all the following Alumni who were in attendance: Joe Estevez, Matt Tary, Don Wilson, Travis Jones, Charlie Christy, Ed Gula, Jeremy Parsons, Eric Whikehart, Kevin Menard, Hagen Panton, and Justin Marrero.
